Taught by: Meg Langrehr

Just because it’s called a bind doesn’t mean it should feel like one. Binds are meant to be a vibrant posture variation that expands our body and mindset.  We reach to an unknown place, beyond where we once thought possible. We strengthen our muscles and bones, and increase our ability to stay focused. Full binds ask us to practice perseverance, grace, and alignment.

In this posture workshop, practice taking full binds in Side Angle and chair twists. Grow these grounding binds to standing binds such as Bird of Paradise, Twisted Bird of Paradise, and Bounded Half Moon. Find freedom as you tap into the middle path by listening to your body, moving with sensitivity, and engaging with what’s happening.

Embrace your Yin and Yang @ Sid Yoga Center Towson
Nov 20 @ 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

Experience it all on your mat; leave feeling whole, happy and peaceful!

Taught by: Sid McNairy IV

Life can get messy and out of sync at times. Did you know gaining balance in life is not a static act? This act of rebalancing is the return to wholeness and health.
Yin and Yang are two qualities that are present in everything. Like two sides of one coin, yin cannot exist without yang, nor yang without yin. Since existence is not stagnant what is yin and what is yang in your life are always changing.
Take a yang-like approach to your life by getting on your mat and creating this balance in your mind, body and soul with Sid IV and Gabby Gallegos.
Sid IV will bring the yang aspect to your practice with a unique flow focused on strengthening the muscles within the vinyasa. Gabby will offer the yin with a more introspective and passive practice using essential oils to enhance your experience on your mat.

We all have an operating system and in many cases it has limited our connection to our infinite power. We have come into this mode of operation from the fear of losing love in some way. By learning how to shift our operating system we are able to see our world from a new perspective. As we land in this new perspective we are then able to live an amazing life from a deeper state of love.

Life Empowerment II is the next step in this training for all people.   A yoga practice is not required! Yoga is not involved in this Life Empowerment, so please get your practice in before or after. This is a study group that will help you dive deep into yourself to open new dimensions that hold you back from landing in the most powerful you. The Life Empowerment series is lead by Sid McNairy. Our final hour finds us exploring arm balances in deeper detail. We’ll learn the essentials to have you soaring into postures such as bakasana (crow), flying pigeon, side crow, firefly, forearm balance, and more.

This is a 2 hour workshop/yoga intensive that explores the foundations of arm balancing, and gives you tips and tricks to get your wings open and your body off the ground.
